Acommodation Navigator Guide

Hello, I'm Nekesa, your VP for Welfare & Equality for the academic year 2023-2024. As we kick off the new academic year, many of us are on the hunt for accommodation, and here at the TU Dublin Students’ Union, we're dedicated to being your guide through this process, making it as stress-free as possible.

Whether you're an international student, a returning student, or eagerly awaiting your Leaving Cert results, we've got your back with the Accommodation Navigator.  This comprehensive guide provides practical advice, essential checklists, and valuable insights to help you navigate lease agreements, understand your rights and responsibilities, and make well-informed choices.

My personal experience as an international student has made me acutely aware of the challenges involved in finding accommodation in a new country. It's this experience that drives me to create this guide. I remember the many unknowns that made my first year here difficult, and I'm determined to ensure you have a smoother experience. By going through our guide, you'll be well-equipped to steer clear of pitfalls, negotiate effectively with prospective landlords, and spot potential scams from a mile away.

If you encounter any issues along the way, please don't hesitate to reach out to me or the TU Dublin Student’s Union. We're here to provide guidance and support throughout your academic journey.

Feel free to contact our Student Advisors at advice@tudublinsu.ie. They are your compass as you embark on the quest for a safe, affordable, and suitable home in Dublin. Together, we'll overcome challenges and secure your place to thrive during your TU Dublin journey.
