- Nominations are now open for four student members of the Electoral Commission.
- Nominations will close on the 20th October 2019.
The Electoral Commission regulates the operations of all elections, referenda, confirmation ballots or other ballots. In the interest of carrying out its work, there is provision for up to 4 students to sit on the committee, alongside an elected officer who is normally the President, 2 other members and an external independent Chairperson. Reps are elected at the first Student Council meeting of the year, and their term of office runs for a full year from date of that meeting. It is important to note that only registered students, as determined by TU Dublin may run for election.
The Commission meets regularly on a month to month basis, and the Executive (the Chairperson, President and one other student member) of the Commission meets when required.
